Maintenance Methods for Castor Wheel
Maintenance Methods for Castor Wheel
How to make the industrial caster universal wheel longer service life is a lot of users concerned about the problem, the service life of the caster is closely related to its maintenance, the following focuses on:
1.Casters are correctly and reliably installed in the designed position.
2.The castor bracket installed must have enough strength and the material must be reliable.
3.The function of casters can not be changed, and is not affected by the installation device.
4. The axle of the rotation wheel must always be vertical.
5. The fixed casters must be in a straight line with their axles.
6. If only rotating casters are used, they must be consistent.
7. If the fixed casters are used with the rotating casters, all casters must be compatible with each other and must be used as recommended by the manufacturer
8. To avoid improper use or overload, the goods should be lightly placed on the car when they are especially heavy. High speeds on rough roads or heavy objects hitting the wheels can cause damage to the wheels or equipment.
9. Regular inspection: support and fasteners: tighten the loose axle and nut and check whether the weld or support plate is damaged. Overloading or impact can cause the bracket to twist. The twisted bracket causes heavy loads to lean on individual wheels and cause premature wheel damage.
10. When installing casters, lock nuts or anti-loose gaskets should be used. The installation of expansion insert rod casters should ensure that the rod is firmly installed in the sleeve.
11.Lubrication: regular lubricating oil, wheels and movable bearings can be used for a long time. Grease applied to the friction parts of the wheel shaft, sealing ring and roller bearings can reduce friction and make rotation more flexible. Under normal circumstances, lubrication should be carried out every six months. The wheels of the car should be lubricated after monthly cleaning.
12. Wheel: visual inspection of wheel wear. Wheel rotation is not smooth and fine red, rope and other debris related. Anti – entanglement cover can block the entanglement of these sundries. Casters that are too loose or too tight are another factor. Replace a broken wheel to avoid erratic rotation. After checking and replacing the wheel, ensure that the wheel shaft is tightened with locking spacers and nuts. Because the wheel shaft loose will cause the wheel amplitude and bracket friction and stuck. Replacement wheels and bearings should be available to avoid loss of production.
13. Casters: if the activity turns too loose, it must be replaced immediately. If the castor center rivet is fixed by a nut, ensure that it is firmly locked. If the movable steering cannot rotate freely, check whether there is corrosion or dirt in the ball bearings. If equipped with fixed casters, ensure that the castor bracket is not bent.
