Twin Wheel Caster
Twin wheel casters for medical furniture and equipment are typically made of nylon and thermoplastics and have two wheels that are riveted or friction-fitted to an axle on the outside of a central body. Twin wheels can be hooded or non-hooded in design; both still feature a central body that the wheels are assembled to. They provide great mobility and turn on a dime, and also stabilize the footprint of many products. They are more decorative than steel casters and are frequently used in store fixture, furniture, and medical products for these reasons.
